Fees and Funding
* If you are self funding the fee is currently $120 per one-hour session.
* Medicare rebates: Many psychological services qualify for Medicare rebates. Ask your GP for a referral. This means you would pay $43.40 out of your own pocket ($120.00 - $76.60 = $43.40).
* Insurance of several types May cover Psychological Services: Workcover, CTP, public liability, etc. After approval from these services, and GP referral, there will be no fee.
* Staff Counselling Schemes (some are called Employee Assistance Programs). Your employer may cover the costs for a limited number of consultations. If so there will be no fee.

Treatment strategies include Emotionally supported ventilation of distress, Cognitive Behaviour Modification and Hypnosis/Meditation/Deep Relaxation.
